OPEN FRAME 15.6″ SUNLIGHT READABLE TOUCH SCREEN – HIGH BRIGHTNESS TOUCH SCREEN DISPLAYS
The SRMOBTP-15.6A-OF are open frame 15.6″ Touch Screens that are Sunlight Readable. They feature 1,000 nits brightness and a 16:9 aspect ratio. We design the SRMOBTP-15.6A-OF open frame touch screens for use in direct sunlight. Consequently, they are also perfect for other high ambient-light conditions. They utilize state-of-the-art LED backlights. They produce 1,000 nits brightness. In contrast, this is over 3 to 5 times brighter than standard monitors. For example, standard monitors are only 200-300 nits brightness. Therefore, the result is an amazingly bright screen. This will provide you with crystal-clear images, even with bright, direct sunlight on the face of the screen.

RUGGED INDUSTRIAL P-CAP TOUCH SCREEN DISPLAYS WITH TRU-TOUCH TECHNOLOGY
The SRMOBTP-15.6A-OF frameless monitor touch screens are extremely rugged. For instance, we build them with true industrial-grade components. Furthermore, they receive our exclusive TRU-Touch technology. The TRU-Touch process ensures that the outer surface of the touch display are scratch-resistant. This offers not only protection to the display, but helps retain the image clarity, allowing optimal performance in challenging applications. TRU-Touch provides reliable response through water and liquids, extreme temperatures. In addition to a bare finger it can also be activated with not only surgical gloves or thin cotton gloves, but some thicker gloves as well. Secondly, P-Cap enables multi-touch activation (simultaneous input from two or more fingers). This is a 10 point touch panel.
OPEN FRAME TOUCHSCREEN WITH EXTREME OPERATING TEMPERATURES AND WEATHER CONDITIONS
We design the SRMOBTP-15.6A-OF Sunlight Readable touch screens to operate in nearly any environmental conditions. Whether in frigid conditions or blazing heat, these sunlight displays will survive and thrive. To clarify, this 15.6″ open frame touch screen will operate in temperatures down to -22°F (-30°C). With the extended operating temperatures, they will also withstand brutal heat up to 185°F (+85°C). Projected Capacitive Touch (USB) works with thick gloves up to 5mm thick and works through heavy rain and snow without false triggers.
WHAT IS OPTICAL BONDING?
Some monitors have a sheet of glass over the LCD panel. This protects the panel from accidental or intentional damage. However, the glass also produces unwanted glare and reflections. Internal reflections in the air gap between the glass and the LCD panel diminish image quality even further. In order to combat this, monitors are optically bonded.
Optical bonding is the process of laminating protective glass or a touch screen panel to the LCD panel. An optical-grade resin is inserted between the glass and LCD. This completely fills the air gap. It will not only eliminate the internal reflections, but increase the contrast ratio. This makes the screen much more viewable in bright light conditions. Optical bonding will also eliminate internal moisture and condensation. Moreover, it will make the monitor more rugged and durable. Lastly, an Anti-Reflective coating is applied to the outside of the glass. Consequently, this will drastically reduce glare and surface reflections.
