TRU-Vu Touchscreen Drivers

TRU-Vu primarily provides two main types of Touchscreens; 5-Wire Resistive and Projected Capacitive.

5-Wire Resistive TouchScreens

If you have a TRU-Vu 5-Wire Resistive Touchscreen, the TRU-Vu model number should include “TR” somewhere in the first group of letters before the first “-“.

All TRU-Vu 5-Wire Resistive Touchscreens are built with EETI eGalaxTouch controllers. Like all Resistive Touchscreen monitors, you will likely have to install touch drivers onto the computer you are connecting your TRU-Vu 5-Wire Resistive Touchscreen monitor to. First however, you should uninstall any touch drivers that may already be on your computer.

Once all touch drivers are uninstalled from your computer, click the link below, then select your computer’s Operating System (ie. Windows, Linux, Android, etc.):

https://www.eeti.com/drivers.html

Once you’ve selected your computer’s Operating System via the link above, you will need to select the “>” file (in blue) that is listed with the specific version (or kernel for Android) of the Operating System you are running.

Once you click on the “>” file (in blue), the driver package should download onto your computer.

You will then need to locate the eGalaxTouch file in your downloads folder, unzip it, and click the setup.exe file to begin the install.

Once the install is complete, restart your computer with your TRU-Vu Resistive Touchscreen monitor connected via VGA, HDMI, DVI or DisplayPort for video AND USB for touch. If you do not connect your TRU-Vu Touchscreen monitor using the USB cable, the touchscreen will not function.

When you restart your computer, you should now have a eGalax folder added to your files. In this folder you will find a program to calibrate your touchscreen. Calibration is recommended when you install your touchscreen monitor the first time, and again if the calibration ever appears to be ‘off’ (which happens sometimes when new programs are added to computers or after operating systems have updates).

Projected capacitive touchscreens

If you have a TRU-Vu Projected Capacitive Touchscreen, the TRU-Vu model number should include “TP” somewhere in the first group of letters before the first “-“.

All TRU-Vu Projected Capacitive Touchscreens are HID Compliant. This means, you should not have to install any drivers or other software for your TRU-Vu Projected Capacitive Touchscreen to work with your computer. Nor should you ever have to calibrate your TRU-Vu Projected Capacitive Touchscreen.

If you have a TRU-Vu Projected Capacitive Touchscreen connected to your computer via USB and the touch function is not working (or not working correctly), please make sure you have removed all previously-installed touchscreen drivers from your computer, then restart your computer to see if your TRU-Vu Touchscreen now works correctly.
